Meet Northampton’s Author Sana Malik

I am a writer and award winning artist who takes inspiration from nature. I started the website in 2022 in memory of my boy bunnies Rex and Snowlop 2009-2017. This year I have been writing my first novel ‘Rex Rapp the Boy Bunny Acrobat’ which will be on sale online with major retailers such as Amazon, Waterstones, Foyles and Barnes and Noble in the new year 2025. All the illustrations for the book are hand drawn in pencil and watercolour. It has been a most exciting project for me to date. I hope you will enjoy reading the five fabulous adventure stories as much as I have enjoyed writing and illustrating them.

Leaping Adventure Stories…

The magical Moon Hare took a giant leap and vanished behind the harvest moon soon after he had made Rex’s wish come true

He gave Rex a magic snowflake and said, “Throw this snowflake into the sky and I will be here faster than you can say apple pie!” Had Rex been dreaming?  He put his hand into his pocket and pulled out a silver snowflake.  The magical Moon Hare was as real as the butter moon that shone bright on cold and mysterious nights.

Rex loved being a human boy but secretly he loved being a bunny more, eating green grass and spending lots of time foraging in the fields with his best buddy, Snowlop.

Rex was half human, and he could transform into a boy by reading a magical rhyme given to him by the Moon hare.  It went like this, ‘Bunny bop, bunny leap, a human boy has two feet.’ In six seconds, Rex had transformed into a boy.  He shared his secret with his best buddy, Snowlop.

Snowlop was a voiceless bunny, and he was smart in lots of ways.   Snowlop had superhuman hearing and he could spot danger from miles away.  He would freeze and stand as still as a statue and thump his foot.  The first ever time Snowlop thumped his foot Rex panicked and began looking for somewhere to hide…
